Biography
Born and raised in India, Amolak performed with his live band across the state of Punjab blending the traditional folk with the modern pop music. After migrating to Canada, Amolak collaborated with the UK award winning producers RDB and produced best selling hip hop track "Ishqan De Mamley " on their debut album. He also featured on one of UK's best producer Surinder Rattan's album "From the Mind" with another hit track "Aaja Aaja". In 2005, Amolak signed with UK's biggest South Asian music label "Moviebox" and released his solo album "No Compromise". The smash hit RnB track "Heere Heere" topped the BBC charts staying #1 for 6 weeks and the desi tracks like "Mitran Di Ban" and "Reshmi Grare Waliye" are still being played by DJs and radio stations. The album was also launched in India and the South Asian market by Amigo Records as "Heere Heere". The video for the title track "Heere Heere" featuring the Bollywood actress Neeru Bajwa played on all major TV networks including MTV, channel V, B4U music, ZEE music etc. achieving a huge success.
Amolak's next solo album "Main Punjabi Haan" is ready for worldwide release. Amolak is also working with well known UK, Canadian and Indian producers on a new pop album.
With the unique gift of writing, composing and singing his own songs, Amolak has certainly created a special place in the music industry and with the forthcoming albums, his voice will knock the doors of all Bhangra music lovers
